Summer Memories

This summer Olive and Valor had a lot of adventures! These fun activities included Vacation Bible School, Taekwondo fun camp, special days with Grandma, play dates with friends, a cousins' week visit to the farm, a trip to YWAM DC, a family camping weekend trip with homeschool co-op families, and Olive's first overnight Christian camp experience at Seneca Hills, where Mommy was the mission speaker and Valor got to camp with Mommy.  In the midst of all of that, we hosted two weeks at the farm; one week for past DTS students who are currently pastors of a Deaf church and one week for 4 Deaf missionaries. Enjoy the pictures of the summer!

Our cousins from NC came to the farm for a week visit! It was so much fun!

I, Carole, taught at YWAM DC, and Vel and Tycen were able to come with me to love on the kiddos when I taught the class. On our last day in DC, we got to travel around the city, and I shared the history of where we lived in DC.

While I was teaching in DC, the kids joined with me in listening to God for encouraging words/ pictures for each student in the DTS. Olive and Valor had so much fun listening to God for each student and writing down the encouraging words they heard from the Holy Spirit.  So many things they heard and wrote down touched the students' hearts!  It was so cool as a parent to see their excitement to do this activity with Mommy. We spent about 2 hours listening and writing on papers!

We even bumped into good friends at the Rodeo!

Past DTS graduates, who are current Pastors at a Deaf church, came for a week to bless us and work on the apartments. Thank you, Jared and Audrey, for coming and serving with us!

While the men were working, the mommas and kiddos were connecting and building relationships!

4 Visiting Missionaries Gather at the Farm

In August, we had the honor of hosting 4 Deaf missionaries for a week of rest, family connection and refreshment before sending them back into the mission field. During this week, they laughed, played games, and connected with each other. Also, Dan and I were able to catch up on their lives, debrief with them about the last mission season, and send them back with greater vision for the year to come! It was a joy to host them in PA.
