Be still and know that I am God

It is crazy to think, we left Santa Fe, NM only 2 months ago. God has blessed us with so many experiences in the last two months. Since our last blog, we have been on a week long vacation with the McClelland family, in a quiet house in the mountains. We were able to sleep in and enjoy the family through playing games, prayer walks, a couples ping pong, pool and fooze ball tournament, waterpark and more. Afterwards, Dan and I went to the Big Apple to spend the weekend touring New York City, my first time to the city and spending time with Grant, Dan's brother and his wife, Sarah. We saw ground zero, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Times Square, Central Park and more.

Currently, Dan and I are back home in PA on the farm, where we are anxious and ready to go! God is teaching us to be still and know that He is God. He is teaching us to trust in His sovereignty and has opened our eyes to what He wants to do and use us for here in PA. Last week, I was at a friend's house and I met a girl from Vietnam, named Duong. We got into a good conversation where I shared my testimony and the gospel of Jesus Christ. She had never heard the gospel before and was interested in learning more. We are going to hang out investigating Jesus Christ through the bible. Praise God that when we ask for wisdom and what He desires, He answers! Please pray for Duong and us as we serve Christ and share the gospel in this time we have before leaving to Costa Rica.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Fellowship in Chicago

Dan and I , again, arrived safely to PA after spending a few weeks in Chicago with my family. Chicago was a blessing! Although, we do not have a home church in Chicago, we had amazing fellowship with sisters and brothers in Christ there. We had the opportunity to share what God is doing in our lives and fellowship at three churches in the Chicagoland area. One of the churches(also a elementary school) we visited asked us to be the mission of the month for 2 months. We are excited to have so many prayers and support behind us as we go.

We also had a blast with family and friends. Dan got to explore Chicago on foot for the first time as we took the "L" (train) to downtown Chicago and walked around seeing the lakefront, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Water Tower, John Hancock and so much more. We enjoyed hanging out with my parents, my sister Michelle, her husband John and their daughter Lily and my brother Joe playing cards, going downtown and to the beach, etc. We went out to eat for Chicago style pizza and many more Chicago restaurants. We saw many family members and enjoyed catching up with them. My Uncle Paul gave me a gift to take a flying lesson, so I flew a plane along the lakefront of Chicago and over Navy Pier with Dan in the back seat. We made three roadtrips to see friend in Peoria, Schaumburg and Milwaukee, WI.

When we arrived home and opened all of our mail we were brought to praise and thanksgiving with all the letters of encouragement, prayers and finanical support we have received. Thank you so much.
